Election Aftermath--Some Thoughts

  * Well, Obama did it. The ballots are all counted...It's one week after the election and there doesn't appear to be any voter fraud to bring into question who won. Barack Obama did it. How? By running a very disciplined campaign, and with a compliant press serving as his pr arm, Obama was able to appear as a Centrist to deceive just enough voters. Victory is his.

Juan Williams, liberal journalist for NPR, couldn't have said it better on election night. Williams, appearing on FOX News, said Obama is "a stealth candidate." He went on to say that the public has no idea who Obama is. Williams is right...most people are clueless on the truth of Obama. I mean, when you have journalists like Chris Matthews controlling the information flow to the American sheep, its no wonder that the average media consumer, who is typically set in their ways and lazy, is going to end up with less information in general, and especially on someone like Obama. Even though the internet is transforming the media landscape, there are still plenty of sheep in America who stay in their CNN/NBC/NY Times comfort zone.

   * Will a President Obama go far left right away? Sir Nexus believes that Obama is too smart to do that. Obama will instead boil the frog by turning up the heat slowly. Obama has a huge socialistic agenda he want to accomplish, but if he tries to do too much too soon, he will not only get bogged down, but he will wake up too many Americans, not just the right wing, but independents and moderates too.

We'll see how much Pelosi and company screw things up for their new leader.

  *  Obama may still be a stealth figure now, but a clear picture of him is slowly emerging and in the next couple of years, we're gonna learn lots of interesting and some shocking things about him.

  * VP Biden is going to be a thorn in Obama's side. His mouth is going to provide some nice comic relief and some embarrassing moments for Democrats.

*McCain is going to go back to being a liberal Republican in the Senate.

  * As long as Sarah Palin doesn't do anything really dumb in the next two years, she will be a leading GOP contender for President.
