Limbaugh & Hannity--Putting Their Party Over Principle

If Rush Limbaugh and Sean Hannity truly cared about their alleged conservative principles, then they both would be endorsing Ron Paul for president.  These two radio frauds talk about the benefits of smaller government, lower taxes and free enterprise, blah blah blah...but when a GOP presidential candidate like Ron Paul comes along, who actually has made a career out of fighting for those same principals, Limbaugh and Hannity ignore Mr. Paul and choose instead to endorse and promote some liberal republican like Giuliani or McCAin.  I mean, when you really look at Ron Paul's congressional record as a Texas representative, it would make total sense for Rush (a.k.a. Hush Ronpaul) and Sean (a.k.a. Pawn G.O.P.) to be enthusiastic cheerleaders for Ron Paul's candidacy.

Let's get real here:  Ron Paul is known as Dr. No on Capital Hill because he's never voted for a tax increase or new government program.  And any tax dollars his congressional district still holds at the end of the year is returned to the government.  In other words, Ron Paul doesn't waste or frivolously spend your tax dollars.

Ron Paul is almost too good to be true.

So why don't these two support Ron Paul?  Hush and Pawn base their decision primarily on the issue of Iraq.  Ron Paul has been against the Iraq policy from the beginning.  But so what?  Personally, even though I might disagree with Ron Paul on that one issue, I sure as heck am not gonna just write him off completely.  So Paul doesn't agree with Bush on Iraq...OK then.  Fine.  I will take his stance on that issue any day over someone who is gonna raise taxes, increase the size of the federal government, be soft on illegal immigration, etc.

You heard it here first — I predict that if Rudy Giuliani gets elected President, he will turn out to be a softy on illegal immigration.  He will turn out to be all talk when it comes to putting action behind the tough rhetoric.   Don't get fooled by the tough campaign talk.

And Sean Limbaugh and Rush Hannity would rather endorse the mastermind behind the illegal immigrant amnesty bill—John McCain—over Ron Paul, who believes in tough border enforcement.

Hmmm...

But back to Ron Paul—a second reason why Limbaugh and Hannity ignore Paul is because he voted against the Patriot Act.  But again, that should not prevent these two supposed conservatives from getting behind Ron Paul.  The guy just has too many other things going for him to not be taken seriously by conservatives.

Hmmm...

It is obvious that Limbaugh and Hannity place more importance on their party.  They care more about filling the oval office with a warm Republican body than they do in electing someone who has a real foundation of conservative and libertarian principles.  It looks like they care more about their reputation and want to pick a "winner" over someone who has their values and backs up what they say.  And those who mindlessly follow their lead are missing out on a candidate who is truly special.

I guess that's why they're called talk radio hosts.  They definitely are not action radio hosts.  Or logic radio hosts for that matter.
